Lyminalkin

Lyminalkin is a stop-motion animation project born in the mountains of western North Carolina. Handmade characters — ceramic faces, needle-felted bodies built from llama fiber, custom metal armatures — move through living Appalachian landscapes, frame by frame.

The work draws from land-art, animist, and slow-media traditions: making as a relational act, story as a way of tending place. Each film is built from gathered materials, field-recorded sound, and years of patient craft. The sets remain in the forest when filming ends.

Lyminalkin is slow, handmade, and alive.
